Hattrick: commercetools scores awards from 3 leading analyst firms
The ecommerce platform proves itself with agile solutions, cloud-based microservices and API first-of-its-kind approaches to Gartner, Forrester and IDC, the top three most influential technology analyst firms in the world.
2018 was a monumental year for commercetools, one of the world’s leading providers of e-commerce software. The company received top awards and rankings from each of the world’s leading technology analyst firms. In the annual IDC MarketScape analysis, commercetools recently secured its place as “A Major Player” right at the top of the chart (1). The software was categorized as “visionary” in the Gartner 2018 Magic Quadrant for Digital Commerce Platforms (2). And in the Forrester Wave commercetools received the highest possible scores in the areas of platform architecture, product vision, strategic planning and operating model (3).
In June, the commercetools platform appeared in the Gartner’s Magic Quadrant 2018 for digital commerce platforms and achieved the best result in the “Flexibility and Modularity” category. These advantages were reviewed by Forrester and brought commercetools in September, the classification as “Contender”. The Forrester Wave B2C Commerce Suites 2018 focuses on the usability in everyday business. Here, the platform received five out of five points for product vision and strategic planning as “continuous updates replace the cumbersome upgrade process that forces most users of other products to run expensive upgrade projects on their platforms.” commercetools received the highest possible score also in the area of “new sales channels”.
