Emakina was created in 2001 by the merger of three agencies: Emalaya, NetAtWork and Ex Machina. In 2006, it entered Alternext, Euronext's segment for growing SMEs.
Emakina's expansion continued in 2007 with the acquisition of other Belgian agencies & did spread across Europe, with agencies in the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Turkey, Austria, Sweden, Croatia, Serbia and Poland, as well the Middle East and North America, with agencies in Dubai, Doha and New York.
Since November 2021, Emakina is now part of EPAM Systems.
