Global sales organisation expanded with new global chief revenue officer, senior leadership hires for EMEA and Australia; plus, the April opening of a Sydney data centre
MUNICH (Germany), March 5, 2020 – commercetools, a leader in next-generation commerce software, today announced a major expansion of its global sales organisation starting with the appointment of Bruno Teuber as its new chief revenue officer (CRO). He will build on the success of commercetools’ sales organisation through the hiring of new talent including a new senior sales leader in EMEA and, for the first time, one for Australia to build on early local success and take advantage of the opening of a new regional data centre in April 2020.
Bruno brings to commercetools over twenty-five years of sales management and leadership to build and grow high performing enterprise technology businesses. He joins from New Relic, where he held various leading positions such as SVP EMEA enterprise sales and VP alliances and channels EMEA. Bruno will be responsible for leading on all customer-facing activities including partnerships and channels, as well as customer success globally.
To enable the business to further accelerate its growth plans in both EMEA and new regions, Bruno’s senior team will be expanded with:
Neerav Shah, VP sales EMEA, who most recently joins from SnapLogic, where he served as the VP of EMEA. Previously, Neerav held sales management and consulting positions at Lithium Technologies, Alcatel-Lucent Motive, KPMG, and IBM Tivoli Systems. Neerav will further enhance the organisation and take it into new markets and vertical industries in EMEA including food and beverages, telcos and B2B.
Joshua Emblin, commercetools’ first territory sales manager for Australia, has extensive experience in retail and commerce technology projects and joins commercetools from digital commerce specialists Tryzens. Joshua will spearhead the growth of commercetools in this new region where it already works with clients including Riedel Glas and World of Books.
These senior leadership appointments are accompanied by a significant investment in new sales talent and resources across the business internationally. This includes the investment in a new data centre in Sydney to support customer growth in Australia and New Zealand from April 2020.
The demand for true modern commerce platforms is growing globally, which is why we are investing in new regions like Australia and New Zealand. Thanks to our strong growth we can seize this opportunity and accelerate our expansion both in our core markets like North America and Europe as well as in these new markets through other exciting investments like our new data centre for Australian customers. I am proud that we found with Bruno an inspirational sales leader who has the skills and experience to grow our efforts on top of the company’s historic strengths, deepen already strong relationships with partners and customers, and take the business forward in this new decade.
