2021 was a monumental year for commercetools, where the company reached unicorn status, acquired composable frontend platform Frontastic, increased its employee headcount by 53% year-over-year, added new clients including Lululemon, L.L. Bean, Sephora and DirecTV, among many others, and expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to allow businesses to purchase commercetools directly from the Google Cloud Marketplace.
